Enthusiasm on underground development occurred in China recently, with the gradual development of shallow underground space in some metropolitans of China, the research on deep underground space would be necessary.Consequently, the investigation,on earth pressure of deep soil which was insufficient now was needed. This paper introduced some present researches on shallow underground space and engineering experiences from Japan on the utilization of deep underground space firstly, then contrasted and analyzed different technical codes in China about earth pressure.Based on all above, this paper discussed important factors on calculation of earth pressure in deep soil, showing that separate calculation should be adopted and the stress path, seepage, excess pore water pressure, creepage and practical condition should be taken into account.
