Time-space Effect Analysis and Control of Deep Foundation Excavation in Soft Soil

Time-space effect has great significance in construction safety and environment control during deep foundation pit excavation in soft soil area.Based on field measured data from the deep foundation pit practice in Dongmenkou Station of Ningbo metro line 1,this paper analyses the time-space effect of foundation pit excavation with2 nd floor frame constructed top-down in Ningbo soft soil deposits.Foundation pit excavation in such strata shows great long-boundary effect and pit-corner effect,and the maximum deformation in depth direction occurs at the mid-span of the continuous wall.The traffic load has a big effect on deformation of enclosure structure.Also,such foundation pit exhibits obvious time effect:Deformation of enclosure structure increases as time goes and increases a lot during the process of constructing 2nd floor frame.For the deformation of enclosure structure in special depth,it occurs mainly in the period that from foundation pit excavating to the soil in this depth is to be unexcavated.On the contrary,the deformation proportion during excavating and supporting is relatively stable as well as the deformation proportion after excavating and supporting.For the deep excavation engineering in Ningbo area,such measures can be taken to decrease deformation and ensure safety:reinforcing structures at the mid-span of the long side of the pit,setting concrete support at the area where may have a large deformation,speeding up the excavation and supporting,strictly control precipitation time and so on.
