Visual Road Tunnel Damage Management System Based on Vitual Reality

Based on virtual reality technology,a visual road tunnel damage management system(3D-TDM) is developed.As the 3d-simulation platform for visual simulation,Creator and Vega is the basis for the development of3D-TDM.After determining the simulation objects and establishing the damage database,tunnel inside scene and various types of damage should be modeled in Multigen Creator.Rendering these models by Vage API and LynX under VC + + development enviroment,the system ultimately realized the virtual navigation of tunnel inside scene and visual management of tunnel damage.3D-TDM has been applied to Qidaoliang road tunnel successfully with good effectiveness,providing a new idea for the disaster prevention and mitigation of tunnel,as well as that in underground engineering.
