Study on Fatigue Properties of Rock Salt Influenced by Time Interval

The authors do a research on the evolution law of fatigue deformation and elastic constants of rock salt influenced by interval using the multifunctional test machine invented by the staff of their own laboratory.The mechanism of fatigue activities is expounded by dislocation theory and principle of least action.The insertion of time interval in classic fatigue would change the law of fatigue damage.A new thought was produced for the research of rock damage.The results show that:(1) compared with the residual deformation in normal loading-unloading circle,residual deformation in circle after interval is larger;(2) elasticity modulus in circles after interval is larger than that in circles before interval generally,while Poisson's ratio does not change obviously with interval;(3) time interval accelerates accumulation of residual deformation.Longer the interval is,faster the residual deformation accumulates during fatigue process is,shorter fatigue life rock salt has.
