Stress Analytic Solution for Elastic Surrounding Rock Mass of Circular Tunnels Subjected to Non Axisymmetric Loads

Rational partitioning of the rock mass in a circular tunnel is necessary according to its deforming characteristics after excavation.An analytic solution is presented for the prediction of stress field of elastic division in the rock mass subjected to asymmetric loads around circular openings,where the lateral pressure coefficient belongs to[1/3,1),according to the elastic-plastic model of surrounding rock mass.The surrounding rock mass was assumed to be governed by twin shear stress three-parameter criterion of unified strength theory proposed by Yu Maohong,semi-inverse method was used.Some important facts were considered,such as the asymmetry of in-situ stress,the characteristic deformation of rock mass and the correct choice of strength theory.When doing support design the results are more practical and worth of being referenced.
