Distribution Characteristics of Road Foundation Temperature Field and Humidity Field in the Qarham Salt Lake Area

In order to determine the distribution characteristics of road foundation temperature field and humidity field in the Qinghai-Tibet plateau Qarham Salt Lake area,based on the new national road G3011 of Da-Chaidam to Golmud expressway,through filed monitoring and indoor experiments,the paper analyzed the distribution characteristics of temperature field and humidity field of road foundation with the variation of depth and seasons.The results show that the upper embankment changes the heat exchange between the foundation and atmosphere environment,the influence of atmosphere environment is getting smaller near road center.Temperature gradient is getting smaller with the increase of foundation depth with season changing.The results also manifest that the foundation absorbs heat during May to August,but releases heat from August to December.The inflection point of foundation temperature is at 2.5m depth under the earth's surface.The paper determines the annual mean ground temperature and its depth under different positions of the road,which are basically not influenced by the height of subgrade and its coverage.The humidity variation depth is 1.5~2.0 m under the change of seasons(air temperature,precipitation,etc.).Below this depth,the moisture content of foundation soil is basically affected by groundwater,while affected little by seasons changing.
