Through the analysis of the frequency list in Antcone retrieval software,it found out that Rushdie explores an important theme in Midnight's Children Indian cultural identity. Key words and the key word in concordance( KWIC) extracted from the novel proves that Rushdie revolves around history and memory in an attempt to construct and represent Indian cultural identity. The Indian history was revealed in the work which is like a broken mirror, reflects both the official and the individualized perspectives. The history has transcended the boundaries of the past, the present and the future and it has also subverted the western linear thinking.
