Preliminary Study on Yu County Industry and Commerce in the Qing Dynasty——Based on the Study of Yu County's Mammon Temple Stone Tablets

Yu County is an important industrial and commercial town in Zhangjiakou, where Mammon Temple has existed eight stone tablets. By studying of the inscription, it can be seen that a large number of Pawnshops and Qianpu were in Yu County in the Qing Dynasty, financial pawn industry was quite developed. The mainly handicraft industry was the Gangfang manufacturing industry, liquor brewing industry developed, Yu County has been known as"the liquor of town beyond the Great Wall". There were a lot of Zihaos from Zhili, Shanxi, and Mongolia area had donated money to the Mammon Temple, reflecting the business ties between Yu County and the such region. Research on the industry and Commerce of Yu County in Qing Dynasty has an important significance for understanding Zhangjiakou as the core of the regional market.
