Wage Analysis of Workers in the Yaohua Glass Factory From 1921 to 1936——Concurrently on the Wage Level of Hebei Working Class in 1920s and 1930s

The Yaohua Glass Factory was built by Zhou Xuexi and other national industrialists, which introduced Belgium's"Fockefa"patented technology to produce glass. From 1921 to 1936, it was the time of the China-Belgium joint venture. From the existing archives and related research reports, it is proven that, during that period, the ordinary worker's wages in the Yaohua were at a very low level and their life was in dire straits, which was in line with the situation of the entire working class in China at that time. From this perspective, it can be argued that the average wage of Hebei workers was below the level of the national average in the 1920 s and 1930 s. In terms of wages, the modern Chinese working class suffered severe exploitation and squeezing and had the inherent appeal to participate in the new democratic revolution.
