Application of Minicomputer in Dispatching and Transportation System in Mines

By investigating the production process in Nan Fen Iron Opencut, we find that the load and transportation system of electric sho- vels and dump trucks are the main factors affecting the opencut production. The proportion of the numbers of electric shovels and dump trucks has a direct influence on the mine's economic performance. We simulate the process of truck-running by random simulation method, and simulate the production process of loading and transportation system in a relatively practical way, when the porportion of the mining and the discharging fields is 1: N in order to get a rational shovel-truck ratio and an opti- mum arrangement of trucks. Both BASIC language and DBASE Ⅱ docu- ments are used to compile our assembly and the optimum truck arrangement plan is worked out by man-computer dialogue. Moreover, the plan can be adjusted at any time so as to dispatch and manage the load and transpor- tation system.
