Construction technique for Qingdao metro tunnel under existing railway

Qingdao subway is a newly built metro line to under-cross the historic Jiaoji railway lines,it is an adjacent spacing double tunnel with a large span and a shallow depth,besides these,the normal operations and safety of Jiaoji railway cannot be affected by the construction of Qingdao subway,this would be a difficult and risky work.This paper simulates the construction method and calculates the stress state of Jiaoji railway by using the finite element software ANSYS,and analyses the reinforcement measure effect of the above existing railway line before the crossing.The results show that the vertical load generated by the passing through of the train is the main reason to cause the foundation settlement of the above railway line.The settlement of the formation from the tunnel vault to the ground surface will be an entire sinking when there is no reinforcement measure,and it will decrease to the one third of the former if the reinforcement measures are applying.
