Comparison of loading methods of floor vibration due to individual walking

In this paper,four methods of human walking loading are modeled by APDL programming.And the acceleration of the composite slab specimen could be obtained using transient dynamic analysis in ANSYS.Compared with the laboratory experiment results,it can be found that the overlap time of individual walking must be considered in numerical stimulating.And the first method that applying Fourier series load function at mid-span is probably faster and easier to predict the peak acceleration in these four methods,but it has the limitations of not being used to evaluate the floor serviceability.Finally,considering the variation of step frequencies during walking,the fourth method is likely more consistent with the reality of human walking and provides more accurate results.
