Analysis of cutter wear based on contact conditions in turn-milling

Based on analyzing the cutting ranges in orthogonal turn-milling machining,this paper built the mathematic model to calculate the cutting areas,including any point on the cutting edge took part in actually.Then the cutter wear condition of each point on the cutting edge was analyzed by calculating the mathematic model.At last orthogonal cutting experiments were implemented with several machining parameters,the results proved the model and cutter wear condition analyzed were correct.
