Analysis of the Concept of Intellectuals in Russian Culture

"Intellectuals" is the special cultural phenomenon under Russian cultural context, and is also the key problem of Russian thought history. In the 30-40th during the 19th century, the group of Russian intellectuals formed, the "intellectuals" concept was also greatly strengthened the primary significance in the level of thinking, awareness and psychological from the ancient Greek and Roman culture, and have been given a unique significance of expansion of philosophy, ethics and society level under the ground of Russian culture. Russian Orthodox cultural soils increase the strong "awareness of the Messiah" and "universalism" for the "intellectuals" the concept, so that Russian intellectuals consciously take on the role of observers of social reality and "social conscience".
