Following enlightenment model in the May Fourth movement,China has chosen the proletarian revolution as a means to establish a new nation-state program.The massification of revolutionary literature aimed at the dissemination of the proletariat's revolutionary consciousness among the masses so as to arouse their class awareness.During the argument of popularization of1 literature,the leftist writers ascribed a proletariat connotation to the common people after having criticized and even negated the variety of them as to their recognition and demarcation.writers depicted this class as the new mainstream who were able to complete the mission of self-emancipation and social transformation under the guidance of the proletariat's revolutionary notion.
