Opposite Centric Quadrilateral Method for Finding the Instantaneous Center of Velocity

he article expounds a new method to solve the instantaneous center of velocity between two disconnected members in the mechanism.It is l'opposite centric quadrilateral".The method is to make up closed quadrilateral by the two disconnected members and two members which connect with them,and to settle the instantaneous center of velocity between two closed sides by their point of intersection.It is simpler and easier than the traditional Kennedy's theorem, is not limited by the sequence of the instantaneous center which the Kennedy's theorem solves,it is a new and effective method to settle the instantaneous center of the planar multi--linkage.
