Development of Induction Logic in Modem Times

Induction refers to the process of drawing a general rule or conclusion from particular facts. The questions that Hume raised on the reasonability of induction have aroused the interest of many researchers. Modem induction logic, which was combined with probability theory in the early 20th century, no longer regards induction as a means of discovering laws but rather a means to test cognition.
