Five Orientations of Future Information Literacy Education in China's Universities:Taking Information Retrieval Course as an Example

In today's era,technical environment changes with each passing day,reform of higher education grows vigorously,and habits of information behavior for university students change quietly.So education for information literacy should be innovated and reformed in accordance with the developing trend of times.Taking higher education as research perspective,the article puts forward five orientations for future information literacy education in China's colleges and universities under the background of new media and new technology,namely the orientation of general education,discipline-specific orientation,practice-oriented orientation,the orientation of self-learning and the orientation of comprehensive evaluation.
