Review on the Deaf Education in America

The United States is currently the most economically developed country,and its deaf education is in the leading level all over the world. This paper reviews the history,the teaching language,and the laws related with American deaf education. We mainly analyze its curriculum,support services,advanced theories and its complete resource service system. The American deaf education fully follows the concept of integration and inclusion,and Chinese deaf education researchers can learn from its history,mode,feature and methods. This paper provides experience for the reform of deaf education system in China during the period of 13 th Five-Year Plan. As a result,every deaf student could enjoy high quality deaf education,and receive complete medical,educational and family support,so that they can make contributions to the society.
