The Clinical Application of DNA Loop Mediated Isothermal Amplification Technology for Detecting IS6110 in the Diagnosis of Pulmonary Tuberculosis

Objective To compare the clinical application of DNA loop mediated isothermal amplification( LAMP) technology,sputum smear microscopy and culture in the diagnosis of pulmonary tuberculosis.Methods Sputum samples of patients clinically diagnosed with pulmonary tuberculosis from 1 January 2016 to31 December 2016 were performed with LAMP technology for detecting IS6110,direct smear microscopy and culture. Results In 56 specimens,the positive rates of LAMP technology,direct smear microscopy and culture were 58. 39%( 33/56),26. 79%( 15/56) and 62. 50%( 35/56),respectively. The positive rare of LAMP technology was higher than that of direct smear microscopy. And the differences were statistically significant( P 0. 05). The consistency between LAMP technology and culture was good( Kappa = 0. 776). Conclusion In the diagnosis of pulmonary tuberculosis,the LAMP technology is convenient,and has higher sensitivity.
