Reflections on China's Folk Oil Painting in the New Era

The folk oil painting is a peculiar phenomenon of the Chinese fine arts during its one hundred years' development. It is not only a stylistic school, but more importantly an embodiment of the artistic spirit and pursuit of a certain time. It advances the development of fine arts and makes it possible for the artistic works in this new era to achieve prosperity and pluralism. 
