Preparation and studying on the strength characters of metallic honeycomb catalyst carrier

Aim To produce the metallic honeycomb catalyst carrier which will fulfil some needs in strength characters.Methods The dip-coating method were applied to fabricated an alumina coating on the surface of the metal based honeycomb substrates.The metallic honeycomb mentioned above were produced with the aid of a self-designed equipment.Results The ideal velocity of dippings is 2.5 mm/s,dryness temperature is 200 ℃,heat treatment temperature is 600 ℃ after testing the samples.The mass loss of the samples L≤15% after the thermal shock of 60 cycles.Conclusion The results reach the expect desire and the whole experiment process is feasible in the miniature examination phase.
