A study on land use and land cover information extracting based on ETM+ remote image in Jintai and Weibin Districts of Baoji City

Aim Taking the Jintai and Weibin Districts of Baoji City as an example,carried out the study of land use and land cover information extracting using June 2004 landsat image.Methods By using RS and GIS,the optimal bands was combined based on the statical characteristic analysis of each band.Land use types interpretation was finished with Maxiumum Likelihood Classification of surprised classification and human-computer interaction interpretation.Results Through the accuracy assessment of classification,the results show that the approach is effective.Conclusion The remote image land use information extracting ways which is frequent and mensurable is an effective method to supervise land use change and to renew data.
