On the influence of the ρ coefficient in superposition model on the calculation of the g factors of ground state

Aim The relation between the ρ coefficient in superposition model and the g factor of ground state has been investigated.Methods The spin-Hamiltonian theory and the complete diagonalization method are adopted in the calculations.Results The relationship between the ρ coefficient in superposition model and the g factors of ground state has been calculated by: YAG:Cr3+ crystal as example.Conclusion The value of ρ coefficient is almost not influenced by the calculation of g factors of ground state,g∥and g⊥,but exerts a powerful effect on Δg.
