Improved indoor location technology based on received signal strength

Purposes—To enhance positioning accuracy by improving the traditional indoor location technology based on received signal strength.Methods—In the training phase,the indoor space of a building is regionalized and adjacent points belonging to the same radio propagation model and parameters are aggregated into the same area.In the positioning stage,the precise region of the unknown point is defined with the method of gradual approximation,then the corresponding radio propagation model and parameters of the region are selected for positioning calculation.Result—Compared with the traditional method of applying single radio propagation model and its parameters to complex and changeable indoor environment,indoor space regionalization technology can determine more accurate and objective wireless signal transmission characteristics.And compared with the undifferentiated data fusion of centroid method,the data filtering technology of regional confidence is more targeted.Conclusion—The transmission of wireless signals is a complicated process.It is necessary to consider various factors in order to improve the accuracy of indoor positioning technology based on received signal strength.Compared with the traditional method,this method can improve the accuracy of indoor positioning to a certain extent.
