MEI Shu-wen;Intellectual Property Academy, Nanjing University of Science and Technology;
With the development of Internet new technology, some European countries have already imposed a "Google tax" on searching engine media. Traditional publishers allege that the search giant is stealing revenue from them by posting excerpts of their content in its Google News results. There is no doubt that there have been tensions in the relationship since Google has billions of dollars, most of which is made up of advertising revenue that no longer goes to newspapers. "Google tax" means that copyright laws require the company to pay for excerpts. The improvement of the copyright system will help to guide for cooperation and mutual benefits for all stakeholders.
