Treatment of Female Patients with Unexplained Miscarriage by Injecting the lymphocytes of Their Husbands

Chang Shixun, et al(Shandong Province Blood Center)
The paper showed that the female patients with unexplained miscarriage can be treated by injecting the lymphocytes of their husbands. Twenty-eight of 32 tested cases had had successful conception(87.5%) as compared with 9 of 35 control cases (25.7%). The difference between two groups was significant (P0.01). The test of sera for HLA-DR antibodies in 22 tested patients was as follows: negative In all of them before the treatment; positive in 12 of them (54.5%) after the treatment and positive in 14 of them (63.6%) during gestational period. In HLA typing, only 2 of 9 couples shared the same antigen at one HLA-DR locus. The test of immunized sera for anti-idiotypic antibodies in 5 tested patients indicated that 4 of them developed anti-idiotypic antibodies against the specific antibodies of their husbands
