Objective Comparing the difference of different testing methods in detection of various irregular antibodies, and sum up the rules. Methods Retrospective comparison and analysis of 293 cases of irregular antibodies detected in our laboratory by saline test, indirect antiglobulin test, polybrene test and gel test were conducted. Results There is no significant difference in Rh system antibody detection by different methods. Kidd system antibodies are most likely to be detected in the indirect antiglobulin test, and part of Ig M antibodies which were negative in saline tests can be detected by gel test. Conclusion With a variety of detecting methods, the ability of irregular antibody detection and identification can be increased, and ensure the safety and effectiveness of clinical blood usage.
