The CD36 antigen expression screening and genotype analysis of pregnant females

Objective To analyze the CD36 antigen expression and its genotypes in pregnant females. Methods 200 pregnant females were enrolled in this experiment,who had already undergone antibody screening and anti-HPA antibody examination in Guangzhou Blood Center. The expression status of CD36 on platelets and monocytes were detected by flow cytometry. Gene mutations of CD36 negative samples were analyzed. Results The frequency of CD36 depletion was 1. 5%( 3/200).Three samples of CD36 negative samples were all type Ⅱ deficiency( deficiency only on platelets).No CD36 type Ⅰdeficiency was detected( deficiency both on platelets and monocytes). Two samples with CD36 deficiency were confirmed with gene mutations: Exon12 A1163 T and Exon5 329—330 del AC,respectively,which were common CD36 gene mutations. The other one was normal CD36 genotype. Conclusion The CD36 deficiency frequency in pregnant females is similar to ordinary people. The gene mutations of CD36 deficiency samples have been found and characterized.
