We believe this would serve for improving service, retaining and regular donor expansion purposes, which ultimately ensures quality clinical blood supply. Methods The " Voluntary blood donation service satisfaction rate questionnaire" was designed according to the work condition and experience at our blood center. The survey was handed out during June/December 2015 and Jun/December 2016 for 700 and 900 copies with 675 and 868 valid response retrieved. We then statistically analyzed the factors that influence the satisfaction rates and compared each factor before and after service improvement. The number of regular blood donors at these time points were also compared to evaluate service impact on donor numbers. Results The survey revealed that facility/amenity quality,environment/hygiene,tracking/feedback,schedule arrangement and staff consulting were the key factors impacting satisfaction rates. After the service improvement, the overall satisfaction rate increased from 90. 78% to96. 50%( P0. 01). Meanwhile, the regular blood donor number increased by 11. 01%. Conclusion After improvement on the service of blood donation based on the analysis of the questionnaires, the satisfaction rate improved noticeably along with significant increase in the numbers of regular blood donors and annual donations.
