Control of Glass Ribbon Cooling Rate during Molding

This article mainly analyzes the temperature drop curve in the tin bath with natural cooling during forming process and expounds the reasonable method to control temperature drop curve through the design of tin bath structure and the parameters of forming technology. During the forming process the temperature of glass ribbon drops from 1100℃ down to around 600℃. Control of the temperature drop curve is very important for quality of the float glass. To establish reasonable temperature drop curve during forming process could effectively control the thickness fluctuation and the annealing quality and increase stability of glass ribbon moving.
