Crystallization Procedure of(Bi, Pb)-Sr-Ca-Cu-O Glass

After studying on the crystallization of(Bi, Pb)-Sr-Ca-Cu-O system glass, we find out that the initial crystillization temperature varies between 400 ~450℃When the composition changes.The initial crystal phase of all glasses is BiSr_yCa_(1-y) O_(2 . 5) solid Solution.BiSr_yCa_(1-y)O_(2.5) phase reacts with the remaining glass phase or crystallized CaO and CuO to produce 2212 phase at about 800℃ . The both formations of BiSr_yCa_(1-y)O_(2.5) and 2212 phase have Sr dissolution and structure adjustment process. This has obvious effect on the electromagmetic properties of 2212 phase. The formation of 2212 can be described by Ginsthng equation F(G )=1-2/3G-(1-G) ̄(2/3)=Kt. The activation energies for the formation of BiSr_yCa_(1-y)O_(2.5) and 2212 phase are also oalculated in this paper.
