A Study on Adherence between A_3F Steel with Different Depth of Decarburized Layer and High-Temperature Enamel

Through experiments it is found out that the adherence between usual A_3F steel and the enamel is not good enough only by the blasting treatment and the enamelware surface has a lot of defects. On the other hand, the adherence is excellent by decarburizing before blasting and the enamelware surface quality is also very good.The experimental results show that the adherence between A_3F steel of 4～6mm in width and the enamel is very good when the depth of errite layer in the decarburized layer is 0.26mm.The morphology of adherence does not vary obvioursly with increasaing decarburized layer.he analysis or observation of the interfaces between the substraes and enamels was carried out by use of scaning electron microscope, eleotron spectroscope and electron probe etc, and the adherence mechanism is discussed in detail in this paper.
