Research on the Wear Resistance of Ni-based Ceramic Coating Deposited by Flame Remetlting

In this paper, the effect WC and SiC ceramic content on wear resistance of Ni-based ceramic coating deposited by flame remelting was investigated. The results showed that the wear resistance of Ni60-based tungsten coating was superior to that of Ni21-based silicon carbide coating , within a definite range the wear resistance of the two coatings was raised with the increase of content. The wear resistance of Ni60-based tungsten coating was the best when the content of tungsten added up to 30 percent, while it would be worse with the increase of tungsten. The wear resistance of Ni21-based silicon carbide coating was the best when the content of silicon carbide added up to 4 percent, while it would be worse with the increase of silicon carbide.
