Analysis on Hepcidin Conservation

Objective To compare hepcidin conservation from different species so to confirm their relations. Methods Use analysis software ClustalW1.8. Results Hepcidin conservation is obviously high among mammals and it is same among fish. Hepcidin conservation is midest among species. Conclusion Hepcidin is an anti-microbial peptide in fish and possesses iron metabolism regulated function in mammals. Variance of hepcidin amino acid can explain cause of hepcidin function difference.
