Exploration of the effects of the triple drug therapy in treatment of intractable chronic cough

Objective To explore the effects of the triple drug therapy in treatment of intractable chronic cough. Methods One hundred and twenty cases of intractable chronic cough were chosen as study subjects and were divded into two groups( n = 60,each). The treatment group was treated with the triple drug therapy of chlorpheniramine,aminophylline,lidocaine,while the control group was treated with the conventional therapy. The two groups were compared for the clinical effect,the treatment time,psychological status and quality of life. Results The total efficiency rate of the treatment group was 96. 67%,higher than 71. 67% of the control group( P 0. 01). Both the scores of quality of life and normal psychological status rate of the treatment group were higher than those of the control group( P 0. 01). Conclusion The triple drug therapy in treatment of intractable chronic cough is effective and of clinical value.
