Clinical application of magnetic resonance fast field echo technique in diagnosis of acute cerebral hemorrhage

Objective To assess clinical significance of magnetic resonance fast field echo( FFE) T2 WI in the diagnosis of acute cerebral hemorrhage. Methods Thirty-two cases of acute cerebral hemorrhage for 1 ~ 24 hours underwent CT scanning,FFE T2 WI and routine MRI examination,and the diagnostic results were compared and analyzed. Results Thirty-two cases of cerebral hemorrhagic focus in FFE T2 WI showed low signal with clear boundary or low signal ring boundary,clear internal slightly high signal or mixed punctate high signal in low signal zone,and hemorrhage was very clear. There were 1 ~ 3 round and speckled extremely low signals with 2 ~ 4 mm diameter on basal ganglia thalamus and parietal lobe in 9 patients,which were confirmed as FFE T2 WI of cerebral microbleeds. Conclusion Sensitivity of FFE T2 WI technology in the diagnosis of acute cerebral hemorrhage is better than that of conventional CT and MRI examinations and can provide a comprehensive imaging of intracranial injuries.
