DETERMINATION OF TRACE SELENIUM IN ENVIRONMENTAL SAMPLES BY HYDRIDE GENERATION INDUCTIVELY COUPLED PLASMA ATOMIC EMISSION SPECTROMETRY

A method to determine the content of selenium(Ⅳ) and selenium(Ⅵ) by hydride generation inductively coupled plasma atomic emission spectrometry is established. The influences of acidic medium, the concentration of NaBH_4 and other concomitant elements are examined systemically. Methods to eliminate interferences are developed. The optimal analytical conditions are discussed and examined. The detection limit of Se(Ⅳ) and Se(Ⅵ) is 0.5()μg·L~(-1), the linear range is 00.1()mg·L~(-1). The value of selenium content detected in standard environmental sample is consistent with the standard value.
