Study on the Properties of PLA/PHB Composites with PBAT

To explore the effect of different concentrations of PBAT on the performance of PLA/PHB composite films, PBAT was blended with PLA/PHB in a certain proportion. The films were prepared by extrusion blow molding and their DSC, SEM, mechanical properties, water vapor permeability, oxygen permeability and biodegradation were measured. The results show that when the content of PBAT is 10%, water vapor permeability and oxygen permeability of the film are the best. When the PBAT content is 20%, the tensile strength decreases from 35.86 MPa to 20.75 MPa and the decrease is 42%.The elongation at break and biodegradation increase with the increase of PBAT content. Properties of the material can be improved after adding PBAT by a certain proportion.
