Prediction of Wave-making Resistance of SWATH with Vertical/Canted Struts

Beside the superior resistance and seakeeping performance as with a usual SWATH,a SWATH with canted struts possesses good concealability.The only SWATH with canted struts in the world at present is "Sea Shadow"built and owned by US Navy.In this paper,based on Noblesse's new wave making resistance theory for a slender ship,a new algorithm is developed for both a type of SWAATH with vertical struts and a type of SWATH with canted struts.The wave making resistance predicted by this algorithm is in good agreement with experimental data.The effort of this paper could be useful for ship form development and optimization of SWATH with vertical/canted struts.
