Poly (Ethylene Glycol) Supported (Diacetoxy) Iodobenzene in the Synthesis of 1,3,4-Oxadiazoline Derivatives

Poly (ethylene glycol) by supported (diacetoxy) iodobenzene as a soluble polymer reagent can smoothly oxidze aldehyde N-acylhydrazones to 1,3,4-oxadiazone derivatives at room temperature in moderate to good yields. This soluble polymer supported by hypervalent iodine agent exhibites enough reactivity for the oxidative cyclization of aldehyde N-acylhydrazones under mild conditions.Moreover, it can be regenerated and reused as environmentally benign reagent.
