Solid-State Preparation and Catalytic Activity of H_3ZnPMo_(10)V_2O_(40) Nanocatalyst

H_3ZnPMo_(10)V_2O_(40)·5H_2O nanocatalyst were synthesized by solid-state reaction at room temperature.Its structure,particle size and appearance were characterized with elemental analysis,IR,UV,XRD and BET techZnques.The catalytic activity and mechanism of the nano heteropoly compound catalyst in hydroxylation of benzene to phenol with H_2O_2 were studied.The results show that H_3ZnPMo_(10)V_2O_(40)·5H_2O nanocatalyst are found to exhibit Keggin structure,have a surface area of 148 m~2·g~(-1),the mean grain size is of the value of 12 nm,the yield of phenol was over 50% and the selectivity for phenol was over 98% under the optimum conditions.The H_2O_2/C_6H_6 molar ratios was 1.5,C_6H_6/catalyst(mass ratios) was 25,reaction time was 2 h,temperature was 70 ℃.The active centre is heteropoly superoxide of the vanadium in the hydroxylation of benzene to phenol.
