Array Self-Assembly of Fullerene Aggregates by Means of DNA Scaffolds

A water-soluble fullerene,C_(60)-N,N-dimethylpyrrolidinium iodide,was dispersed in aqueous media in the form of vesicles.By mixing and incubating the fullerene vesicle and a 2D DNA lattice together in appropriate ratios,pearl-like arrays of fullerene vesicles can be obtained on the DNA scaffold.
