Synthesis and Characterization of Nano-Zinc Oxide by Microemulsion Method

Nano-zinc oxide was prepared by microemulsion method using inorganic salt as starting materials.The research concentrated on the influence of reaction condition and post-treatment of precipitation etc.on nano-zinc oxide.The structure,particle size,morphology and composition of ZnO nanopowder were characterized and analysed by means of TG-DTA,XRD and SEM.The results indicate that the ZnO nanopowder prepared by this method has hexagonal structure,high purity,well distribution with spherical grains and finer dispersion.The mean particle size is 41 nm in diameter.OP-10 is used as microemulsion,which is cheap with high water dissolving capability.
