We have synthesised the new chromogenic reagent 10 (2 carboxylphenylazo) 9 phenanthrahydroquinone, namely CAPPH,and studied the method in determining trace Cu 2+ of sarcandra Glabra (Thunb) Nakai by spectrophofometry. The results express that there is the most Cu 2+ content in stem, then in root, and the lest in leaf.Compared with atomic absorption spectrometry, the method not only is simple, and but also is accuracy.
