THE THEORY AND THE PRACTICE SIMULATING STRUCTURAL STRESS FIELD BY VIRTUAL DISPLACEMENT METHOD
Liang Yihong
It is the theoretical basis of virtual displacement method treating the deformed geological body as a elastic-plastic bady and calculating the distribution of strain and stress in the deformed geological body by increment theory. This will overcome the shortcoming that the stress distribution calculated by elastic theory can not authentica- lly reflect the stress state of the deformed geological body at that time. The author, replacing the geological inference alone by virtual displacement method, simulate and determine the physical boundary condition of a. deformed geological body. This reduces the artificial factor and increased the reliability of the test result. The method was used to study the ore-control structure of Sado gold rains, Japan and the geological inference on the mechanism of ore-control faults was veri-fed and the distribution law of ore-control faults obtained theoretical wcs proved by further geological investigation.
