CHARACTERISTIC OF MICROSTRUCTURE,ENGINEERING GEOLOGY AND HYDROGEOLOGY OF LOESSIAL SOIL IN CHANGCHUN

This paper deals with the problem in the engineering practice,based onthe study of microstructure of loessial soil by microscope. The result indicates that thewater-bearing mechanism of silt clay in the third layer is owing to the void and pipage inthe soil. The crumbling property of brown-red silt clay of second layers is due to itsnetted crack which is crumbed down after meeting with water. In the light of knowledgementioned above,a design of pit lowering of water is put forward.
