FORMATION MECHANISM OF COPPER DEPOSITS IN YUESHAN OREFIELD,ANHUI PROVINCE

Zhou Taofa, Yue Shucang (Hefei University of Technology, Hefei 230001)  
Geochemical characteristic of the two-type copper deposit in Yueshan orefield Anhui Province indicates that the ore-forming material has a close relationship with the Yueshan rock body. The magmatic dynamic behaviors of the Yueshan dioritic magmas during evolution are favorable for the formation and evolution of the ore bearing hydrothermal system, and the magmas of the Yueshan rock body possesses the potential capacity of forming a large scale copper deposit. It is concluded that the melt-fluid partitioning process is the major mechanism for the formation of these copper deposits in this orefield.
