The effects of mixing speed on the performances of starting gelled batteries at the ultra-low temperatures

The gelled SiO_2 mother liquor was prepared by the ultra-high-speed shears. Then, the gelled electrolyte is prepared with the gelled SiO_2 mother liquor. The influences of gelled SiO_2 mother liquor prepared by the ultra-high-speed shears on the performances of starting batteries at -29 ℃ were studied. The experiment results showed that compared with conventional speed, the gelled mother liquor prepared at an ultra-high revolving speed had a smaller particle size, and the starting lead-acid batteries made by corresponding prepared gelled electrolyte had a better starting performance at the ultra-low temperature.
