Non-verbal Behavior in Cross-cultural Communication and FLT

In cross-cultural communication, nonverbal behaviors are playing equally important roles as well as verbal ones. The non-verbal behaviors such as gestures,distance,and eye contact have distinct national and cultural characteristics.Non-verbal communication is a very important component of FLT.To provide the cultural information of non-verbal communication in FLT and cultivate the students' ability of cross-cultural communication is the need of training qualified persons for international cooperation and exchanges.It is also a new task FLT is now confronted with.
